Our tool parties and events provide a fun, relaxed atmosphere with quality tools sized right. Giving women the proper tools and techniques to create a more functional, beautiful and livable space.
Our homes and our nest eggs need to be maintained and protected. Tackling those projects in your home can be a rewarding and less expensive alternative. Tomboy Tools Canada encourages women to try new things and discover what they can do in their own homes.
Our History
TOMBOY TOOLS® is a tool and home improvement company for women, by women, providing a unique range of private-labeled hand tools for home improvement projects. Our primary business is to provide the highest quality tools and techniques to women, empowering them to become confident and competent homeowners through our In-Home Workshops - Tool Parties!
In the beginning, we were just a group of women working on various home improvement projects that got together to lament the fact that retail hand tools and those warehouse workshops don't work for us. The simple fact is that most hardware companies are antiquated in their approach to women. Most figure that in order to appeal to women, you just take a tool made for a man and make it pink. Hello!
Our company is very different from the run of the mill home improvement retailers. We advocate education and have an internal culture that supports women in becoming confident, competent homeowners--our new definition of TOMBOY!
Our In-Home Workshops reinforce our tell-show-do-feedback approach to home improvement projects. We tell you how it's done, show you how to do it, give you a chance to try it yourself and then provide feedback so you can recreate the project in your own home.
